In Arizona, “Single Parent Adoptions” are more difficult than an adoption occurring with a 2 parent couple. The rules require that the adopting parent must be at least 18 years of age if a U.S. child is involved. If the child is not from the U.S., (i.e., an “International Adoption”), then certain countries require an upper age limit of 50 years of age. Contact the Cantor Law Group in order to find out the rules of the country in which you are seeking to Adopt a child.
